Devotee knelt before the Divine
At the instance to worship with a prayer;
Was amazed to behold the Divine Symbol shine
And speak to the
devoted in a voice sublime.
“You, my creator kneel before me,
with what object in your heart and mind?
You pray to remind yourself through me,
of the promise of
your material success,
through my intervention divine?
You pray for yourself or for your loved ones-
To fulfill your
desire of earthly riches & pleasure,
That’s your Mother Nature’s treasure-
The cause and effect of its blatant use, is its price.
You pray for the downfall of those you loathe and despise?
Or, you pray for success in your acts of vengeance,
in the name of peace, sanctity or penance?
to rid yourself of
guilt constantly gnawing your mind.
You pray for absolution for the actions-
That brought momentary joy of triumph;
but led you to a tortuous life of damnation.
You pray giving in to your desire for status and
recognition-
Is that what I should surmise?
Delve deep inside yourself
For I ask you why-
You kneel in front of your own creation,
With a prayer in a name you call mine.
With the holy trinity signifying life’s dimension:
Do you pray for harmony with the macrocosm?
Whose integral part you are in creation?
You pray to seek your fortitude,
to stoically brave life’s
challenge?
You pray to realize
your misgivings
that prevents your harmony with the environment?
You pray to appeal to your compassionate self,
For the courage to transform jealousy and animosity,
to genuine love and empathy?
You pray to appeal to your benevolent self with the hope and
optimism-
to dispel the darkness of ignorance and despair plaguing the
humanity…?”
आत्मनिरीक्षण (कविता )
भक्त ने भगवन के समक्ष किया नमन
नतमस्तक हुआ करने निवेदन ,
पर हुआ वह अचंभित देख दिव्य चिन्ह का प्रज्वलन।
तभी दिव्य वाणी ने किया उसका संबोधन :
"मानव, मेरे निर्माता होकर करते हो मेरा नमन;
इसका क्या उद्देश्य बताते हैं तुम्हारे मस्तिष्क और मन ?
क्या मेरे नमन से क्या स्वयं को दिलाते हो याद
अपनी सफलता प्राप्ति का प्रण
किया तुमने अपनी दिव्य शक्ति के माध्यम?
क्या तुम करते हो अपने प्रियजनों के लिए नमन,
या करते हो पाने के लिए अपार धन और सम्मान ?
क्या करते हो नमन कर सत्ता और भौतिक सफलता का ध्यान ?
धन सम्पदा जो है धरा की प्राकृतिक धरोहर,
उसकी वासना का सहना पड़ता है अंजाम।
क्या तुम करते हो नमन करने अपने शत्रुओं का दमन और पतन ?
कर नाम अमन और सौहार्द्य की स्थापना का
चलकर हिंसा के पथ पर कर आतंक और प्रतिशोध की ज्वाला का प्रज्वलन?
या तुम करते हो नमन अपने कर्मों की ग्लानि से मुक्त करने अपना मन,
या पाने निजात उन क्षणभंगुर सफलताओं से
जिनसे हुआ अभिशप्त तुम्हारा जीवन ?
मैं तुमसे पूछूँ कि क्यों करते हो अपनी संरचना का नमन?
क्यों मुझे पुकारते हो अपने दिए हुए नाम पर ?
तुम क्या करते हो अकाल ब्रह्म और त्रिकाल योग का
जिनका तुम हो अभिन्न अंग ?
क्या तुम करते हो नमन करने अपने विकारों का हनन ?
क्या तुम करते हो नमन अपने अनुकंपा की
ताकि साहस से कर प्रयोग प्रेम और सद्भाव लोभ ना की,
करो ईर्ष्या , लोभ , दम्भ , द्वेष, दुःख और क्रोधः का पतन ?
क्या तुम करते हो नमन अपनी आशा और हितकर्मठता की,
करने मानवता पर छाये अज्ञानता और नैराश्य के अन्धकार का मोचन ?
